                                                                                                            Soshu Shigeru Oyama, 10 dan

Shigeru Oyama, 10 dan (1935-2016) was a 10th Dan Black Belt (Ju Dan) with over fifty years of martial arts experience. He was considered a Supreme Grand Master by knowledgeable practitioners worldwide. In addition to serving as a leader of World Oyama Karate and carrying a full load of teaching responsibilities, Soshu Oyama was Executive Commitee Chairman of the World Oyama Karate Organization and travels frequently in the U.S. and abroad to conduct master classes and attend tournaments.

While in active competition, Soshu Oyama successfully completed the 100-Man Kumite (free fighting), defeating one hundred consecutive Black Belt opponents in full-contact bouts. He has shown the power of his karate in awe-inspiring demonstrations, by catching a razor-sharp sword swung at full speed with his bare hands.

Oyama Karate Norge er først lisensiert OYAMA Karate Klubb i Oslo etablert den 13.08.2015. Etablering har tatt 3 hele år, alt av på grunnet at Sensei Wojciech Piatas setter stor pris på trygghet og høyeste standard. I Oyama Karate-stilen er det et unik system for trening av barn, som tilpasser mentale og fysiske evner - forklarer Sensei. Skolen primært fokuserer på de praktiske fordelene ved å praktisere karate som : helse, følelse av sikkerhet og systematisk formgivning av elevens karakter.
